Primehouse - Chicago
The former home for David Burke's Primehouse is now Primehouse. Still located on the lobby level of the James hotel, the steak-focused eatery aims to stand out from the many steakhouses in the immediate vicinity.
Primehouse--known for impeccably dry-aged steaks and for being the first restaurant in Chicago to showcase an on-premise dry-aging program--has launched an elevated, and seriously "beefed up" take on the traditional chef's table with, "Art of Aging."
The interactive dining experience provides up to four guests with an exclusive behind-the-scenes, chef-guided tour of Primehouse’s award-winning dry-aging room, followed by a seated dinner featuring the very cuts of prized beef observed during the tour. The experience is available daily during dinner only.
Also important is that Primehouse dry ages its meats in a Himalayan salt-tiled aging room on premise. The restaurant also offers breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch.
