Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab - Chicago
The high-end seafood restaurant is situated in the heart of River North's most significant shopping district, which includes Coach, Nordstrom and a number of luxury boutiques.
The original Joe's Stone Crab "restaurant" made its debut in Miami Beach in 1913 when owner Joseph Weiss and his wife Jennie set up several tables on their home's front porch. The specialty, of course, were Florida stone crabs, a few side dishes and Key lime pie.
Joe's eventually evolved into what it is today, from the celebrity-laden original location to this highly visible Chicago outpost. As with the Washington, D.C. and Vegas locations, the Chicago restaurant is a partnership between the original Joe's Stone Crab and Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises.
You'll find the same dishes on this menu. Joe's features an extensive selection of seafood, flown in fresh daily, to complement the Florida stone crab claws. You'll also find signature prime steaks, such as the 24-ounce, bone-in ribeye, plus Ahi tuna, filet mignon, fried chicken and more. There are also special gluten-free and vegetarian menus.
